The closer I get to God

A few weeks ago I preached on a sunday morning about getting close to God. Ive learned quite a bit about drawing near to God. And praying/fasting for 21 days as a church is a bonus too. The other day I was able to help somebody out with something and they in turn used their resources to bless me. It always pays to serve others. The closer i get to God the easier it is to hear from him. The bible tells us to draw near to God and he will draw near to us. Its a guarantee.
I cant wait to see what happens the rest of this year because of the things we are pouring into the first few weeks of this year. You will reap a harvest on the seeds planted. Quitting is not an option! Pursuing God is a must. With so many freaks out there trying to predict the end of the world a close relationship with God will keep you focused.

What I learned from the Patriots/Broncos game…

If there’s a few things i learned from watching that game these would be it.

1. Tom Brady is a beast and very comfortable in the pocket.

2. Tim Tebow needs to throw the ball at first response instead of waiting for the pressure. (Side note: We shouldn’t have to be under pressure to produce a response.)

3. The Patriots organization takes the nobodies and takes them to the next level.

4. Tim Tebow came under a lot of pressure both on and off the field and still has a positive attitude.

5. Its going to be a great superbowl if the Patriots are in it.

NOLA

This year is starting off great!! 2012 has opened up with new things for me. I was able to go to New Orleans to the SugarBowl tuesday, im heading there in a few hours. Hopefully get to see the College Game day crew. There is an excitement in the air of New Orleans. First, saints played last week, they play lions Saturday, Southern Miss plays Tulane, & the National Championship is next week.
I heard on the radio the city of New Orleans is projected to make $100 million. Thats real good for the city. A lot of folks can learn from their marketing. The food is always good! The dome is rockin everytime the Saints play. The Hornets need to tighten up. Keep the momentum going for the city.
In all, whatever you do, do it good and your results will speak for itself!
